The Central Midlands Council of Governments (CMCOG) is currently recruiting an experienced executive to serve as the Finance Director. Under the supervision of the CMCOG Executive Director, the Finance Director will be responsible for providing leadership to the agency in developing and maintaining financial records, purchasing, and disposal of fixed assets, preparing all necessary CMCOG financial reports in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. Master’s degree is preferred; supplemented by five years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the public non–profit, or governmental sector. Attention to detail and a high level of technical accuracy is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs is required.
Entry-level hiring range is $61,000 to 75,000 annually; starting pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Excellent benefit package includes medical/dental/vision insurance, vacation time, sick time, and inclusion in the SC Retirement System.
