Job Description:
The Deputy Treasurer oversees all processes and personnel in the Accounting and Delinquent Tax areas of the Treasurer’s Office. Maintains accuracy of the general ledger and all journal entries in accordance with GASB and FASB. Completes monthly bank reconciliations and distributes tax collections to all taxing agencies. Serves as the Delinquent Tax Collector. Conducts the annual delinquent sale.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Supervisory experience and 3-5 years of accounting experience which would provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Preferably certified as a SC Government Financial Officer through Government Finance Officers Association of South Carolina.
