Purpose

Accountant/Fiscal Analyst II oversees professional accounting duties for the College, including reconciliation of accounts, posting and auditing entries, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state law, and college policy. The Analyst manages, analyzes, and maintains all assigned Finance systems and provides effective and professional training College-wide in utilized systems.

Minimum Requirements

- Associates degree and experience working in accounting, finance, finance systems, or related field;
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred;
- Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply;
- Experience using/maintaining financial ERP systems (Banner, Cognos, etc.), account reconciliations, preferably in a higher education setting is ideal;
- Experience in Higher Education accounting preferred;
- Experience with Banner Finance preferred;
- Experience with Cognos Report Studio and Query Studio for report writing and ad hoc reports, or other reporting tools preferred;
- Experience with eProcure systems (Jaggaer, etc.) preferred; 
- Ability or experience training or presenting to large groups preferred. Working knowledge of state government and fiscal accounting processes preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Required Knowledge

- Candidates should possess knowledge of principles, practices, theories and terminology of accounting and/or financial management;
- Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.;
- Ability to proficiently apply mathematical concepts;
- Ability to analyze and interpret related data;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships;
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
- Possess the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks according to established goals and time lines;
- Possess the ability to train, direct, and coordinate work of users of automated systems.

Salary

*Salary is commensurate with education/experience which exceeds the minimum requirements.
