VICE PRESIDENT FOR BUSINESS SERVICES AND CHIEF FISCAL OFFICER

The Vice President for Business Services and Chief Fiscal Officer, is responsible for providing executive level leadership, management and direction for the business services of the College, including accounting and finance, information technology, budgeting, procurement, auxiliary services, facilities management and campus security.  In addition, the Vice President for Business Services and CFO serves as member to the Executive Leadership Team and a key advisor to the President in support of the College's mission.  The new Vice President for Business Services and Chief Business Officer will be a forward-thinking, engaging and transparent leader, that will ensure a strategic and efficient budgeting process. The successful candidate will possess the following professional portfolio:

*Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related area with a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible executive level leadership and management experience.  Extensive experience in governmental accounting and/or higher education financial management is highly preferred.  

*Extensive and comprehensive knowledge of principles, theories and practices of accounting, finance, auditing, procurement, budgeting and facilities management. 

*Thorough knowledge of Information Technology and campus security/safety.  

*Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with faculty, staff, subordinates, elected officials, regulatory officials and other stakeholders. 

*Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and innovate problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and competing priorities.

*Demonstrated competencies in fiscal management, financial accounting and reporting, business management and administrative management practices. 

*Demonstrated accomplishments developing and attaining strategic goals and objectives within a complex organizational setting/preferably in higher education. 

Expectations and Responsibilities:

*Provides leadership in the development and maintenance of an effective College-wide operating budget, including equitable budget allocation, budget monitoring and fiscal accountability and responsibility.  

*Serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and advises College leadership on fiscal and administrative matters.  

*Develops and oversees the processes related to capital improvement projects. Oversees the process of land acquisitions and easements.  

*Provides leadership and direction in the operation and maintenance of the College’s physical facilities and grounds.   

*Oversees the College procurement process and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.  

.*Provides leadership and direction for the comprehensive information services to ensure effective and optimal use and integration of technology within College operations.
