Job Description:

SC Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Accounting Manager I – 60015577 Position Opening:

The Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office (RFA) is seeking applicants for an Accounting Manager I with experience in South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) finance and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) reporting policies and procedures. This position under direction of the Finance Manager plans, coordinates, and directs the daily fiscal and business functions of the agency’s Business Services section. This position requires knowledge of state government accounting processes and the ability to interpret and analyze financial data. Must have excellent communication skills. This is an opportunity to work with an agency with diverse backgrounds and talent. The RFA’s mission is to provide independent research, analysis, and resources to the executive and legislative branches of state government, local government, and the private sector to facilitate informed policy decisions and administration of services. 

 

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree with accounting courses and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, banking, finance or an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources. Extensive knowledge of SCEIS with at least 2 (two) years’ work experience in SCEIS financial reporting. Ability to reconcile SCEIS transactions especially those surrounding the general ledger. Must be proficient in Excel. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Occasional travel within the state to attend meetings.  Employee may be expected to work outside the normal state 8:30am-5:00pm during fiscal year end.

Salary range for this position is $48,622 - $52,000. Open until 4/20/2018.
