Course Description:
Fraud
A course designed for the individual or the auditor (internal or external). This course will cover the latest trends in ID theft, medicare fraud, business fraud, internet hacking and public network dangers. It will discuss basic fraud techniques and how to guard against them. Extensive information about how to protect your identity will also be covered. Black web information and hacking programs will be discussed. There will also be a luncheon speaker from the college addressing various aspects of grants.

GSAB Updates
We will discuss the latest GASB statements issued, which ones are applicable for the June 30, 2019 year end and how to best implement them including the note disclosures necessary. We will also discuss the “Year End” close and how it differs from the “Month End” close. There will also be a luncheon speaker from the college addressing various aspects of grants.

Course Description:
Internal Control: It’s Role in Fraud Prevention
We will discuss the current Uniform Guidance measures for both auditor and auditee in relation to compliance and financial statement auditing and the key role internal control plays in both good grant management and fraud prevention/awareness/deterrence. Also, discussions regarding audit planning for both auditee and auditor are presented. There will also be a luncheon speaker from the college addressing various aspects of grants.
