GREENWOOD COUNTY is currently recruiting for a highly qualified County
Engineer to join their leadership team.  The ideal candidate, under limited supervision,
will supervise, plan and direct the activities of the Engineering Department in order to
ensure the proper management of engineering projects to meet the needs and growth
of Greenwood County and its municipalities.  The County Engineer may also play a
prominent role in establishing design criteria and give approval of new roads, drainage
systems, flood control improvements and infrastructure throughout the County and
municipalities including Lake Greenwood and its surrounding properties, County Airport
operations, and other projects that are sensitive in nature. 
Minimum Training and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in engineering with six to nine
years of progressively responsible engineering design and project management
experience, lake management experience and computer-aided design experience, OR
an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the
required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Professional Engineer (PE) certification
preferred.
The ideal candidate will have experience with FERC requirements, knowledge of Munis
software and the AS400 system. 
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
