General Statement of Job Duties
The general responsibilities of the Chester Metropolitan District Financial Analyst include performing budget, accounting, and financial analysis work. This position may be engaged in various municipal accounting operations within the general ledger, cash, investments, utilities, payroll, revenue, expense, fixed assets, P-Card, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grants, and other special assignments, Reports to Senior Accountant.

Minimum Training and Experience
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting supplemented by at least three years of accounting experience, preferably in municipal government and/or utilities. Knowledge of financial software packages, proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical writing skills required. Certification as a Certified Public Accountant or Government Finance Officer is preferred, or the ability to obtain within two years. The equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.

Salary range
$51,513 - $65,000 (Depending on Qualifications)
